Bootstrap Haters
Just did a search on Twitter for Bootstrap and saw quite a few haters. Kind of shocking but ultimately not really.
Basically anyone that thinks Bootstrap does more harm than good, doesn’t understand Bootstrap’s core mission. Which is to create a framework around an idea so that you can quickly prototype that idea.
Anyone that launches a project and considers it final with just a bootstrap design also doesn’t understand the core mission of Bootstrap. I agree with Vibhu Norby’s point about if you can’t design it, don’t build it, to an extent. Again, if you launch the product/project with no real intent to make a real design, than you probably shouldn’t build it. But what if your goal was just to illustrate, in a real-world working example just the foundations of your idea…Bootstrap empowers that and helps you get there quickly. Many claim this to be the secret ingredient to a successful project.
Hell, I’m a designer and I use bootstrap to help me get the idea across quickly because of the JS framework and the pieces that Bootstrap has does just that.
Don’t hate the game, hate the player.
